Gregory Westfall
Executive summary
Greg Westfall is Grant Thornton's national managing principal for Private Equity. He previously served as the firm's chief growth officer ― and has also been Grant Thornton's market managing principal for New York City.
Greg also serves clients focused primarily on forensic accounting matters, investigations and complex commercial disputes supporting companies and their in-house and outside counsel. He has worked closely with auditors, executive management, boards of directors, and has reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Department of Justice in connection with accounting investigations.
Greg joined Grant Thornton in 2010 from Huron Consulting Group. He received a master's of business administration degree in finance and accounting, taxation and business law from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a bachelor's degree in economics from The College of William and Mary. Greg also is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and has served as a financial and accounting expert on behalf of Her Justice, one of the leading not-for-profit organizations in New York supported by law firms, financial institutions and accounting and consulting firms.
